What We Do

Blue Spruce Theatre was created in September of 2006 in order to bring high-quality, intimate musical theatre to audiences around the Boston area. We’ve since expanded to include the occasional non-musical, if we think it fits our overall mission. We produce works that connect us to each other as people, and hopefully provide us with a better understanding of who we are, where we came from, and where we are headed.

Part of our ongoing mission is to support those who are underrepresented in the arts. We try to choose and create works that allow for diverse casts. We also publicly support LGBT rights and have been fortunate enough to have been able to donate funds and tickets-for-auction to GLAD (GLBTQ Legal Advocates and Defenders) in prior years.

Just like any emerging organization, we are going to need plenty of help and financial support. If you are interested in supporting Blue Spruce Theatre, we have set up convenient ways for you to donate online or by check.
